Albert Fred Beuttler
Albert Fred Beuttler, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin left this world on June 3, 2021. Albert, who was known as Fred by family and friends, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 29, 1948. He grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. and lived in Verona for 37 years. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Marion and Albert Beuttler. He is survived by his immediate family, wife of 49 years, Deborah Campbell Beuttler, son Andrew Beuttler (Taryn) and grandson Benjamin; son Jonathan Beuttler (Blair) and granddaughter Josephine and grandson Max; sister Kathleen Asquith (Douglas Conway) and three nieces. He also is survived by many cousins. As a teenager, Fred was a paperboy "extraordinaire" and also enjoyed riding bicycles in local races. More recently, he also rode bicycles regularly in Osprey Point with friends. Fred graduated from York Junior College in York, PA and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck and taught sixth grade in the Wood-Ridge NJ school system for 38 years prior to retirement. Until the recent pandemic, he also substituted regularly in Upper Township. Fred loved working with children and enjoyed every minute of his job as a teacher. Fred was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed watching games with family and friends. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ocean City, and the Upper Township Green Team. He also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to one of the following charities: Habitat for Humanity, Turtle Island, Journey Hospice or St. John Lutheran Church.
