Sharon Herres

An amazingly giving and spunky wife, mom, and grandma "Bug," Sharon Lee Herres, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020. While she may be gone, she will be forever remembered by her husband of almost 60 years, Phillip Herres, children Gigi (John) Withrow, Phillip (Kristy) Herres, Donny (Lisa) Herres, and Stevie Herres, grandchildren Ciera (Brian) Madden, Danny Herres (Madison), Sean Withrow, Chelsea (Colin) Baker, Jamie (Evan) Haarmeyer, Sydney Withrow, Madison Herres, Peyton Herres, Jordan Herres, and Brooke Herres, great-grandsons Danny, Grayson, and Liam, sister Sandy Kasel, and many nieces and nephews. In death, Sandy joined her parents, Max and Geraldine (Riggs) Tidwell, and her beloved son, Danny Herres. She was born and raised here in Dayton, where she graduated from Stebbins High School in 1962. SHe married her husband, Phillip, that same year, and they started a family. Sandy worked for the family business, Dollar Towne, for over 35 years doing the vital administrative and accounting tasks. Sharon absolutely loved to go on cruises. From Blackjack in the casino to Creme Brulee in the dining hall, she loved it all! Sharon enjoyed shopping at flea markets, Disney trips with the grandkids, popcorn flavored Jelly Belly's, and the music of Queen and Bob Marley. She cared deeply for her family, and always wanted to take them out to eat, as a way to show her love and also as a way to satisfy her craving for Surf and Turf. To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to participate during her Life Celebration Graveside at Bellbrook Cemetery (3939 Upper Bellbrook Rd, Bellbrook, OH 45305) on Monday, April 27th, at 12pm. Please use Sharon's online Book of Memories to share photos, condolences, and memories on her tribute wall. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Avenue Dayton, Ohio 45420) or plant a memorial tree in memory of Sharon at www.ConnerAndKoch.com.
