~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Passed from this life at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday July 24, 2020. Gwen was a strong resilient passionate woman who lived a life rich with love and family and friendship. She touched the lives of many and always had room in her heart and home for those who needed care. Gwen was a devoted volunteer with Palliative Care and the Volunteer Auxiliary of St Lawrence Lodge for many years Visitors and loved ones were always welcome to enjoy a wonderful meal and great company. She was a fabulous baker and donated to many bazaars and bake sales. Her fruitcakes and Christmas squares were usually the first to sell out. She was an avid walker and could be seen walking many early mornings with her life-long friend Faye, who many thought was her sister. Gwen loved her gardens and could often be found in her pink rubber boots, garden hose in hand among the flowers. She was a well- known business owner of the Shoe Court downtown Brockville. Working in the shop was her passion and she so loved her customers and the relationships she built over the years in her business career. In her younger years she worked for AL Myers and Cindy shoes.
