William K. Cheatham, 90 of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away June 27, 2021, in Atlantic City. William was born in Sharon, PA on December 7, 1930.
He spent many years working in the gaming industry in management. He was last employed by Revel Casino at the age of 84.
William is survived by: son, Rodney E. Cheatham; daughter, Gail Cheatham Merrell; cousin, Helen Wead; daughters-in-law, Verna, Sandra, Harriett and Joan Cheatham; sisters-in-law, Shirley Branch, Gwen Meusburger; brothers-in-law, James, Donald and Roger Anthony, Frank Elliott and Maurice Branch; grandchildren, Eric Cheatham, Kim Cheatham, Alycia Cheatham, Andre Cheatham, Roscoe Cheatham, Helen Cheatham, Robin Wimbush, Robert "Barry" Cheatham, Melissa Cheatham, Eric James Cheatham, Angie Gibbs- Wilson, NIcole Cheatham and Stephanie Richardson. William was not only the patriarch of his family, but a supporter of all young people throughout his life.
He was a strong believer in his faith and community. He served on countless committees and boards to improve the City of Atlantic City. He loved Atlantic City so much he chronicled articles daily from local newspapers about the city for future references.
God knows best and thought it was time for William to come home to now rest knowing he did a job well done for his family and his community. Amen.
