Ray Bradley Obituary It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ray “Speed” Bradley on October 19th, 2021 in his 85th year of life from natural causes. Beloved husband for over 62 years to Doris. Cherished father to Carrie, Lori (Tom) and Scott (Kelly). Dear grandpa to Kaitlin. Loved dearly by his brother John and sister Roummy. Predeceased by his parents Clark and Norma Bradley. Ray came from the small northern town of South Porcupine where he was scouted and signed to a professional hockey contract with the New York Rangers at the very young age of 15. Shortly thereafter, Ray scored the biggest goal of his life when Doris accepted his marriage proposal while he was playing junior hockey in Sudbury. While moving on from hockey, Ray became a successful beer salesman where he learned to stickhandle his way up the corporate ladder from a sales representative in Sault Ste. Marie, all the way up to the President of Molson Breweries in Western Canada. After retiring from Molson's Ray did marketing consulting work for the Florida Panthers as they entered the NHL, before returning to Canada to be the Director Public Relations/Marketing for Toyota Town, Lexus of London and later Porsche of London. Ray always believed in giving back and supported all the communities he lived in, holding positions of president for the Association of Canadian Travelers, Kinsmen Club Sault Ste. Marie, Rotary Club Kitchener/Waterloo and founder/chairperson of the London Charity Golf Classic for Prostate Cancer over the years. Proceeds went to LHSC Urology headed by Dr. Joseph Chin. Not only did Ray raise funds for prostate cancer, he was proud of the enhanced awareness that was created for the disease and the importance of annual testing and early detection. His endless efforts contributed millions of dollars to a number of London Health Science Center initiatives - LHSC Cardiac Fitness Institute, LHSC Head and Neck Cancer Research and Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic plus other worthy causes. Ray had an infectious personality, zest for life and was always loyal to friends. Ray was one of a kind, driven and with strong work ethics. He always said he had a PHD “Pride, Hustle, and Desire” while coaching all his children to success. Ray was a devoted Montreal Canadians and New York Yankees fan as he loved the storied winning heritage of these organizations. His family takes comfort that heaven got a 1st round draft pick and that he is now "with his hockey buddies". Ray always said, “Keep your head up and stick on the ice”. The family would like to thank the doctors, residents, nurses and PSW’s in the Medical-Surgical ICU and 6th floor of UH. As per Ray's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In honour of Ray, Memorial Donations may be made to the hospital at lhsf.ca/ways-give and select area of your choice. On-line condolences are available through www.woodlandcemetery.on.ca

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.
If in any part of these Terms of Use is held, by a court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unenforceable, such part of these Terms of Use shall be eliminated to the extent permitted in that jurisdiction, for purposes of that jurisdiction, and the remaining Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and all federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. No delay or failure to exercise any right with respect to these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver by My Tribute Gift Foundation.
As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use regularly.
