It is with profound sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, March 10, 2022 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Marie-Paule (née Tremblay) Labelle. Son of the late Edouard and Annette (née Simon) Labelle. Cherished father of Tammy Lagrandeur (Raymond). Dear brother of Claire (Norris), Bob (Jackie), Maurice (Réjeanne) and Richard. Predeceased by his brother Patrick (late Lee-Ann). Favorite Peppo to Ethan. Equally missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his love of life, his infectious smile, and his baby blue eyes. He loved the game of golf and for years on Saturdays and Sundays he could be found on the golf course and tee room afterwards with his golf buddies where a lot of quarters were paid, laughs were had, and golf stories were told. He loved woodworking and some of us are lucky to have some of his beautiful pieces. In more recent years, Ron became his grandson’s biggest hockey fan. He was Ethan’s biggest cheerleader on and off the ice. Ron was also a Sudbury Wolves super fan. He enjoyed watching them play on tv and liked to place friendly wagers on each game with his family members.
Ron never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. He would do anything for a laugh and always enjoyed a good joke. Anyone that knew him, knew he had the biggest heart. He’d give you anything even if it wasn’t his to give. He could make you laugh even when you were mad at him. He loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that Ron is now at peace surrounded by light.
