Lauri Sage

Lauri Joleen Sage, resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on May 21, 2020. She was 59 years of age. Lauri was born in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Joyce (Daenzer) Hering Sr. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Edward A. Sage Jr., on May 1, 1993 at Peace Lutheran Church of Warren. The couple was blessed with four wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished. Lauri had a heart of gold and cared for others. She was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and was currently dedicating her services in McLaren Macomb Hospital. She enjoyed going to craft shows and online shopping. In the fall, she looked forward to watching U of M football; in the winter, she enjoyed bowling; and in the spring and summer, she loved spending time at her family cottage in Higgins Lake. All year round, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and treasured every moment shared in their company. Lauri had a kindred spirit and such a beautiful smile that would it light up the room. She lived life with love and purpose; and the compassion she showed to others was unforgettable and always a blessing. Lauri will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever. Lauri is the loving wife of Edward; dearest mother of Andrea (Randy) Moore, Dane (Kristen McNelis), Megan and Shelby Sage; cherished grandmother of Mason, Greyson and Bryson Moore; beloved sister of Edward Hering, Diane (Edward) Rose, Jill (Mark) Oltman and John Hering Jr.; loved sister-in-law of Suzette Perpich; dear step-mother of Dolores Koehler; dear step-sister of Mike (Deb) Koehler, Norm (Denise) Koehler, Sandy (Gregg) Foushee and Nancy (Greg) Murdoch; and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Tuesday from 2pm -4pm & 6pm - 8pm and Wednesday 2pm -4pm & 6pm-8pm. Visitors will be asked to wear a mask out of respect to each other. A private service will be held on Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church of Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be addressed to Peace Lutheran Church. Share memories at
