Boonville- Diane Neil, 65, a former longtime resident of Iseneker Road, Town of Leyden, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, while under the loving care of her daughter, Jarrin and son in law, Matt. Affectionately known as Dee Dee, she was born in Constableville, on February 12, 1955, a daughter of Arthur E. and Cecelia Kervin Fauvelle. She grew up in Forestport, where she attended Forestport Elementary School, graduating from Adirondack High School, with the Class of 1973. Thereafter for twenty eight years she was employed in several departments of Ethan Allen Furniture Co. Boonville. Later for several years, she owned and operated the For the Love of Pets pet shop on Main St. in Boonville. On July 6, 1986, Dee Dee was united in marriage to Brian J. Neil, at the gardens of Constable Hall, Constableville, NY. Mr. Neil passed away on November 15, 2004. Dee Dee possessed a lifelong love and affection for animals, especially for her feline friends and pet ferrets. For many years she greatly enjoyed participating on bowling teams in Constableville and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by one son, Thomas E. Cormier, West Leyden; daughter and son in law, Jarrin (Matt) Roberts, Boonville, five grandchildren, Gwen, Ariel, Colton, Blake and Nevaeh; one brother, Timothy Fauvelle, Florida, a sister in law, Pamela Fauvelle, Forestport; a brother in law, Robert Neil and his wife, Judy, Texas; a sister in law, Dolores Burns, New Hampshire and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas N. Fauvelle, in 1971. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 28, from 5-8pm at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Interment will be held privately in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to your local humane society.
