It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harvey Beson, at the age of 84, in the presence of
his family at the Grand Falls-Windsor Hospital on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Following a lengthy career with the Town of Grand Falls Harve dedicated his time to serving his Church
and community but his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, whether at “the Cabin”
on West Lake or playing a game of cards at the kitchen table. His grandchildren put a twinkle in his eye
and a smile on his lips. To Harve family was everything. As an avid woodworker, Harve’s other love was
his shed where he could be found stoking the fire or creating another masterpiece. There was nothing
he couldn’t make with a few scraps of wood, straightened nails and his dog by his side. Harve was
always fond of his dogs.
With a passion for working hard, Harve was totally dedicated to his community and the well-being of
others. This was evident through the meaningful relationships established at the church and the
camaraderie it generated. A lifetime member of the Kinsman club, he strived to contribute in any way
possible and celebrate in the successes.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 yrs, Geraldine, daughters Colleen (Ken) and Pam (Brad). Mourning his loss are his grandchildren Alexander, Emily and Grant along with family members and many friends. “A Good Man Never Dies”
Visitation will take place at Hoskins Funeral Home (GFW) on Sunday, August 7 (2-4pm) and (7-9). Funeral
