Ronel Edward Kirkland II, 40, of Lakeland, Fl passed away on September 07, 2023 due to injuries from a motorcycle accident. Ronel was a lifelong resident of Lakeland. Ronel was a brick mason by trade and in his spare time he liked to turn wrenches on vehicles, especially motorcycles so that he could ride them. Ronel ( Ronnie ) was well known, liked, and loved by many. Ronnie had many hobbies but his passion was for the DC Comic Superman. He had over 1,000 comic books which he frequently bought at antique stores, comic book stores, and anywhere else he could find memorialbilia. His walls in his home were completely covered with Superman wall art and posters. He also had tons of Superman action figures. To many, we could probably all agree that Ronel ( Ronnie ) was our real life Superman ( minus the cape, lol )! He always tried to save the day by helping anyone that he could. He was a real life hero! Ronnies greatest passion was his daughter, Kaylin. He loved that beautiful girl more than anything and when she was born he almost ran into a wall because he couldnt take his eyes off of her while walking from the O.R. to the nursery. Since day one she has held his heart like no other. He made it his lifelong goal to make sure he could give her anything that he could, but the biggest gift from him to her was his unconditional love. And love is what they shared. Kaylin loved her daddy and he loved his little girl. She always made him smile and he was the proudest man ever to have his daughter finally come to live with him. Ronel is preceded in his death by his parents, Ronel & Katrina Kirkland, his stepson, Austin Cox, and his nephew, Tallond Stephenson. He is survived by his daughters, Kaylin Kirkland of Lakeland, and Tala Cox of Aubrandale, sister Beth Curry of Lakeland, brothers Cj Kirkland ( Shana ), Bobby Joe Butler, & Cliff Hall ( Amy ), all of Lakeland, stepmom, Mary Keene of Lakeland, grandparents Harvey & Sarah Sewell of Westville, Best Friends Kenneth Boyette, Chris Stephens, Dennis Paul, Ronald ( Big Ronnie ), & Roxy Starnes, all of Lakeland, nieces, Alexis Young & Savanna Kirkland, nephews, Tyler Stephenson, Randall Young, & Caiden Kirkland. 3 great nephews, and 2 great nieces, and many many other family members and friends.
