He was one of the founding members of the band “Ebb Tide” that became well known on the Shore and surrounding area for their dances, fundraisers and entertaining in Seniors’ facilities. A jam session always occurred whenever family or friends dropped by. In his early years he was heavily involved with playing hockey and baseball for local teams. He played for and later coached the Hantsport Shamrocks when they won the Eastern Senior A Men’s Baseball Championship in 1961. Family was especially important to Wilbur.
