HENRY, Joy Audeleene (nee Willis) (December 18, 1931 to July 2, 2020) With heavy hearts, we inform her friends and family, of the passing of Joy Henry. Joy leaves 3 loving sons and their partners, Christopher (Ann), Peter (Kevin) and Blair (Jude). The pride and joy of her life, grandsons Robin and Willis, always inspired her to rally her indefatigable will to live by the promise of their next visit. An ever loving and supportive family populating Canada and America from St. John’s, NFLD to Vancouver, B.C., will miss Joy’s cheerful and optimistic nature. Dear sisters and spouses, Eber and Margaret Willis (Markdale, ON), Gwyneth (Chilliwack, B.C.) and Tom (deceased, late of Chilliwack, B.C.), Grace Ann and Bill Bavington (St. John’s, Nfld.), Jean and Alfred Beer (both deceased, late of Chilliwack, B.C.), Bud and Evelyn Willis (both deceased, late of Toronto, ON) and myriad nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces to carry the torch and the Willis legacy. Michael Blair Henry (1930 to 2008) and Joy met while skiing in Saint-Sauveur where a lifelong love affair, inseparable dedication and total devotion began. Joy had recently graduated as a Registered Nurse and was working at Toronto Western Hospital and Mike was destined for a career in business, spanning Bay Street finance to the General Manager of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and champion of our Guelph Community for 40 years. Re-locating from Toronto with 3 young boys, Joy and Mike built a life in Guelph where they lay the foundations to establish lifelong friendships that have endured generations. Joy and Michael, ever active, committed themselves completely to family, friends and local service organizations. When the boys were finally all in school, Joy dove into refresher courses and resumed her nursing career, working at Guelph General Hospital for another 22 years. Joy’s sporting and hobby activities were a work-in-progress as she doggedly pursued golf, tennis and bridge. With a never-ending supply of energy, she would transition from the tennis court, swimming pool or golf course into evening wear, turned out as a radiant and gracious hostess to her cocktail party guests or closely knit bridge club. Joy’s warm, welcoming and infectious smile, the always present twinkle in her eye, through good times and adversity, guaranteed you were very special to her and she was happy to have you in her life. The care, advice and unwavering support of the staff and nurses at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, was an essential component in the quality of Joy’s life over the 12 years of her residency. Debbie Uliana, Claire Moore, Dr. David Hood and the entire healthcare team were considered a loving and vital extension of her family. Family will celebrate her life privately at a later date. Any donations in remembrance gratefully accepted in the name of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, Guelph.

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
