MECHANICVILLE - Maureen F. Pahl, 83, passed away on January 6, 2024 in the comfort of her home, with her loving family at her side. Born in Schenectady on July 11, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Farley McGann, Maureen grew up in the Schenectady area. She owned and operated Pahl’s Market Research Co for many years, and later on worked for the NYS offices in Albany for over 10 years, until her retirement. Affectionately known as Gram or Grammy by so many, she and her family dealt with the effects of her Alzheimer’s for the past 9 years. Although it created frustration for her, her family was able to fight through some scary moments, to also have some of their fondest memories come from these times, keeping her home with the help of many wonderful people. Her daughter and family, caregivers, and her faithful companion “Benji”, gave her the peace she needed to get through her days. Often described as “a little devil”, her feistiness, awkwardly inappropriate comments, and fierce nature kept all those around her on their toes and at all times. In her earlier years, Maureen loved time at the Racino and enjoyed traveling. She also loved the company of her children and grandchildren. Maureen was predeceased by her husband, Paul W. Paul. Survivors include her faithful daughter and son in law Marcy(Michael) Raucci and their children Dylan, Isabella, and Ethan, sons David(Susan) Pahl of Palatka, FL and their children Lynn and Rebecca; Robert(Linda) Pahl of Cleveland, GA and their daughter Meghan(Brian). Also a great granddaughter Rhyleigh Pahl, siblings Linda(The late Ted) Domery, Kathy(Richard) Berhaupt, Michael(Kathleen) McGann, and Patricia(Dave) Luke, as well as several nieces and nephews. Maureen’s family would like to offer their deepest and most heartfelt thanks to all those who helped keep Gram home during this tough time of her life, especially Sue Hickey, Sara Ford, Tara Raucci, Tayler Lescault, Beth Arthurs, Mary Ellen Mullady, Athena Rozowicz, Patti Higgins, Lorraine Cuilla, Lea Hickey, A’Zlyn Rauenzahn, Lorraine Muth, Deb Greco, and the Hillcrest Fire Department. An Inurnment Service with will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, January 12th at the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871. There will be no calling hours. Those wishing to attend the services at the cemetery are asked to be there at 2:15PM and wait at the visitor’s center. Those wishing to remember Maureen in a special way are asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1003 New Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047 in memory of Maureen F. Pahl.

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.
If in any part of these Terms of Use is held, by a court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unenforceable, such part of these Terms of Use shall be eliminated to the extent permitted in that jurisdiction, for purposes of that jurisdiction, and the remaining Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and all federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. No delay or failure to exercise any right with respect to these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver by My Tribute Gift Foundation.
As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use regularly.
