To you Kathleen, Mere,Maddie,Jules, Lawrence,Carly,Jesse There are no words to express adequately the depth and breadth of man John was and will always be for me. His legacy is with all of you and the rest of us he touched with his compassion, energy, family values, smile, energy again, engaging intellect, love of the world around him both that of nature and that of man's making, energy again, love of a strong south wind and the sunrise and sunsets on Lake Champlain. Your sadness at this time is a testament of his place in your soul and hearts, your moments and times of peace and joy a testament to life which he cherished and would wish for you too. With love ellen

I will miss John as a friend and colleague. When I was first establishing myself as a sex addiction specialist, John (and Annette) were the first clinicians I contacted. They both welcomed me, encouraged me and supported as I took this step. The three of us worked to establish our SACCEM group, a wonderful professional community for sharing and supporting one another that met monthly for several years. John, Annette, and I also met on our own for peer supervision. I cannot express how grateful I am for John's support through the years. John was wise, caring, humble, and very committed to helping his clients heal. I learned from his example as well as from his guidance over the years. I am now working with one of John's former clients. He often speaks about John and how much difference their relationship made to his healing. I know that there are countless others whom John supported with love and wisdom. May John's memorial be a blessing for all of us.
