J. Alan Sexaure, commonly known to most as Crusher, died peacefully in his home on July 26, 2020. He was 72 years of age.
John was born on February 24, 1948 in Sydney, Ohio, son of the late Carl and Mary (Cligrow) Sexauer. He grew up in Detroit and became a Warren Police Officer in 1973, serving 27 dedicated years and retired n June of 2000. John was a Fraser Councilman from 2004-2008. He was a member of the NHRA and loved cars and drag racing. He also looked forward to a nice round of golf and a nice cold beer. John always squeezed in a nap and made sure he was always current with the latest news. A patriotic man, he looked out for the greater good and was a beacon to his community. He understood the value of friendship and always had a helping hand. Crusher will always be known for his sense of humor and his love for others. He will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
John is the loving husband of 20 years to Colleen; cherished father of Lauren; dear step-father of Ryan, Christopher and Blake; adored grandfather of MacKenzie and Savannah; beloved brother of Amy (Jim) Pacyga; and dearest friend to many.
Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday from 2pm - 8pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Malachy Catholic Church on Friday at 11am with visitation starting at 10:30am. Due to the current mandate, please wear a mask before entering the buildings. We are asking everyone remain patient and remember social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Michigan Humane Society.
