Veronica Mae Bennett, 70, of Somers Point, New Jersey was born July 29, 1951, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Willie Mae Brown and Leory Frank Bennett. She died November 9, 2021, in the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center – Galloway Campus.
Veronica was employed at Bally"s Casino in Atlantic City New Jersey where she worked as environmental service specialist.
She loved coming over to her brother James' house to spend the evenings watching television and spending time with Phyllis and her sister, Margaret. She also enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles football team and the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team. She and James also spent time watching old cowboy movies and doing all that she could to make him laugh. The time she spent shopping with Margaret will never be forgotten. After her shopping extravaganzas she would enjoy showing off her new finds to Phyllis. She loved going out for breakfast, lunch or dinner or ordering in – as long as she was sharing a meal with her family, she was happy. She took great pleasure around the holidays putting together a menu for James and Phyllis to cook for her other family members to enjoy as well.
Though she did not "dress to the nines," she enjoyed getting her hair done by Phyllis.
Veronica was very private, but she was loving and kind. She loved being around her family who will truly miss her and always love her.
