GLOVER, Shirley Jane, 92, (nee: Conover) died peacefully at the home of her daughter Wendy Glover, where she resided, on May 18th. She was born in Absecon, NJ on January 25, 1930. Shirley graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1948 where she was a cheerleader, and met her future husband, Frank Glover. They married, had three children, resided in Northfield, NJ, and later divorced. During the 1970's and 80's, she worked at Green Tree Golf Course in Mays Landing, NJ, and there she met her love and companion of almost 40 years, Chet DeFelice. Shirley was devoted to her family, proudly raising three children, and being actively involved in the upbringing of her four grandchildren. She enjoyed
her word games and puzzles, crocheting, and watching sports. Shirley is survived by siblings Robert Conover (Marjorie) of Smyrna, DE and Barbara McHale of Galloway Township, NJ; Children Kathye Glover McCarthy (Mike) of Pawlet, VT, Wendy Glover (m. Loteck) of Upper Township, NJ, Robert Glover of Dorothy, NJ; Grandchildren Joseph Loteck (Tonya Foster) of Monroeville, NJ, Andrew Loteck (Ashley) of Upper Township, NJ, Frank Glover of Pleasantville, NJ and Emily Rose Glover of Lodi, NJ; Great-Grandchildren Makenzie Loteck, Caden Loteck and Kennedy Loteck; several nieces and nephews; and extended family Chet DeFelice (Tammy) and Ron DeFelice (Peggy) of Ocean City, NJ and their families.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents Harry E. and Mary Amanda Conover, sister Virginia Wright, brother Curt Conover, former husband Frank B. Glover and loving companion Chet DeFelice.
