Arthur Quaranta, Sr.
Arthur A. Quaranta, Sr., 90, of Ocean City, NJ died peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 with his wife and sons at his side.
Born in Camden, NJ on January 6, 1931, he was the son of the late Antonio Arturo and Maria (Meloni) Quaranta. Art was a graduate of Camden High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during the Korean conflict.
Art was a talented craftsman working primarily in the South Jersey area. Upon retirement, he relocated to Ocean City from Pennsauken, NJ. He was a parishioner at St. Damien’s Parish in Ocean City.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years the former Josephine (Jean) D’Onofrio; sons: Anthony A. (Tony); Arthur A. Jr. and his wife Denise; sister: Ceil Persico and her husband Rudy; grandchildren: Arthur; Adam and Gabrielle Quaranta and cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Art was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent (Janet).
A visitation for Arthur will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 114 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Art's Funeral Mass will b livestreamed on his webpage at the funeral home website. Interment will be private
Art was very appreciative of the excellent care that he received while he was in the care of Autumn Lakes and Holy Redeemer Hospice.
