Susan (Rebert) Boskett

Susan Marie (Rebert) Boskett, 74, passed away on October 4, 2020, at her home in Allentown, PA, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Eddie Joe Boskett, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on August 30, 1946, Susan was the daughter of the late Philip G. Rebert and Natalie G. (Aller) Rebert. Susan was a graduate of Conestoga High School in 1964 where she excelled in academics and especially in the foreign language program. She attended Elmira College in Elmira, NY, before moving on to rear her family. She then went to work as an Editor and Professional Training Educator at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., in Allentown. Susan’s abilities led to the establishment of a ‘grammar hotline’ for employees to call when they had grammar questions as well as offering classes on professional writing and communications. After 29 years of service with the company, she retired to spend time with her family and volunteer in various aspects of her community. Not willing to “totally” retire, Susan served as an Instructional Aide at Quakertown Community School District supporting students through the Instructional Support Program. She also volunteered countless hours with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) making life-changing differences for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Susan volunteered with the Lehigh Valley Health Network Hospice Care sharing her time and compassion by visiting patients at home and in the hospital. She also volunteered time to the No One Dies Alone program in the LVHN which provides compassion to those who are at the end of life and need someone to be with them in their final moments. Susan sat on the Board at the Centennial School at Lehigh University. She also participated in the Lehigh University Choral Union for more than 10 years as an outlet for her love of music. Susan loved her church family and was beloved by the members at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Allentown. She was an active in various church committees and events. Susan loved going to the beach while spending time with family and friends. She cherished experiencing fine dining in the Lehigh Valley as well as whenever travelling. She also had a lifelong affinity for Longwood Gardens which she visited nearly every year for more than 50 years. In addition to her husband, Susan is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Melissa R. Bristow, wife of Brian L. Bristow, of Elmira, NY, and Rachelle L. Quinter, wife of Travis L. Quinter, of Allentown, PA; her grandchildren, Stephanie J. Joslin, wife of Andrew T. Joslin, Keenan B. Bristow, Ethan E. Bristow, and Greyson L. Quinter; and her great-grandson, Jacob O. Bristow. Other family members and friends close to Susan’s heart include Michael Lewis, Milah Allison, Bailey Allison, and LaToya Price. Susan is survived by her sister Helen and Robert Schwarz.
