Anthony Thomas Purnell, Jr. was born January 26, 1985, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, to Anthony Thomas Purnell, Sr. and Denise Owens Gaillard. He transitioned this life and returned home to God on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Anthony received his education in the Atlantic City, New Jersey and Silver Spring, Maryland, school systems. He was last employed at Martin Brower Distribution, as a Warehouse Associate, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Anthony was a member of New Life in Christ Fellowship Church, Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
Anthony, affectionately known as "Man", was quick-witted and had a dry sense of humor. He loved to crack jokes and make people laugh. He would light up a room with his smile and signature laugh. Anthony was intelligent, versed in many topics, and inquisitive about life and the world around him. As a little boy, Anthony was curious and always wanted to know why and how. Anthony was personable, in his own unique way, and loved to talk. When given the opportunity to speak with him, you would quickly realize just how thought-provoking and fascinating he was. He liked to engage in debates and long conversations, which he would initiate with, "Did you know?" or "Let me ask you a question?"
Anthony enjoyed reading the Bible and studying scripture. He loved God and spoke often about God's goodness and his faith in Jesus Christ. He enjoyed listening to music, particularly, old school hip-hop and was at one time Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's greatest fan. The Crossroads was his jam!
Anthony was caring and thoughtful. He loved and appreciated his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Most importantly, he adored his Mom-Mom Sarah, Mom-Mom Rosalie, and his special love…Granny.
Anthony was preceded in death by: his father, Anthony Purnell, Sr.; paternal grandparents, LaGrant and Sarah Purnell; maternal grandparents, Robert and Rosalie Owens; aunt, Lisa Purnell; and uncle, Glenn Owens.
