SENECA FALLS – Frances Anita Kidder, 77, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away Wednesday (July 7, 2021) in F. F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.
In keeping with the wishes of the family there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday (August 19) at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2414 Rt. 414, Waterloo, NY. Rev. William Dorow, Jr., pastor, will officiate. The committal service will be 2 p.m. Thursday (August 19) at Oakwood Cemetery, 1975 Baird Rd., Penfield, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Finger Lakes SPCA, 41 York St, Auburn, NY, 13021.
Born as Frances, many knew her as Anita. She was born August 24, 1943, in her family home in Ontario, NY, the daughter of William B. and Frances Marie Daniels Danner. Frances graduated from Ontario Central School. As an adult she attended Cayuga Community College and received an Associate's Degree in Data Processing and Accounting. Frances moved to Seneca Falls in 1974 and resided in her home until her death. She was a loving wife and mother. Working with her husband, she was bookkeeper for several of her husband's construction businesses during their early life together. In the 1970's she delivered papers for the Canandaigua Daily Messenger. Anita had a lifelong love for animals, for a while she volunteered and help rehabilitate animals with the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. She was an avid horseback rider and in 1977 to 1978 she owned and operated the Black Brook Riding Stables with about 20 horses. In 1985 she owned and operated the ARK Pet Store in Seneca Falls for several years. For 20 years she was a Sales Associate for Wal-Mart in Seneca Falls, NY.
She is survived by her children Robbin (John) Lindsay, Richard (Connie) Kidder, Lisa (Doug) Goodman James Kidder, and Francine (John) McElhenny; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren with another expected in the Fall; and several nieces and nephews.
Frances was predeceased by her husband Richard Lynn Kidder; her parents; and brothers William B. Danner, Jr., Fredrick "Fred" Danner and Karl Danner.
