Urania Mantz

Urania came into the world on August 22, 1933. She lived in Tarpon Springs Florida until 1953 when she married George Michaelos and moved to DeLand, Fl. In her earlier days, Urania volunteered at Fish Memorial hospital, was a member of the Junior Service League and was active with the March of Dimes. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friends in her bridge club for over 50 years. She became a teacher and was active in the classroom from 1967 untill her retirement in 2001. Urania is survived by three children John & Tessa Michaelos, Art Michaelos & Julia Law and Mary Ann & Butch Paul and one sister Alex Campbell. She has 7 grandchildren Emily & Tyler McCague, Scott & Cariann Paul, Harlan Paul, George Michaelos, John David Michaelos, Ion George Michaelos and Noah Law. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Eriffile and Aristocratis Stavrulakis , her sisters Flora Georgiou, Evangeline Bouchlas and her husband William Mantz. Urania’s legacy was her kind and patient spirit. She was a beacon of strength, courage hope and kindness to so many. In lieu of flowers please do an extra act of kindness for someone. Due to COViD 19 there will be no public service held.
