William Stoneseifer

William R. “Stoney” Stonesifer passed away peacefully at Colonial Park Care Center on Monday, August 31, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sherry (Sukle) Stonesifer. He is also survived by his loving children Alice Kreider, husband Rob, of Hampstead, NC, Angie Stonesifer of Eugene, OR, Eugene Evans of Harrisburg, PA, Amy Wray of Glenwood, CO, and Eric Stonesifer of New Cumberland, PA. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Reed Kreider (Amara), Kendall Kreider, Alyssa Evans, Jasmine Stonesifer, and Ava Stonesifer. He leaves behind one great grandson Aelin Kreider. He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara and a brother Linwood. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Stoney was a Steelton boy through and through. He graduated from Steel High in 1953. He loved cars and could be found “racing” them through the streets Steelton. He spent his younger years working at the Barbecue Cottage, a “hot spot” drive-in restaurant in Harrisburg for people of his generation. Bill was retired from Irving’s Shoes. He was a Navy veteran. An avid Steelers fan, he could be found in his Steelers sweatshirt and slippers watching the game on a Sunday afternoon. Even better than the Steelers was his love of Cher and her music. He was a “snappy” dresser and was known for his turquoise jewelry and wearing a ring on every finger. Stoney was a character. He loved his family more than anything else and will be missed greatly by all that knew him. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at the convenience of his family.
