Barbara Jane Robson, of Pompton Plains, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 in the care of her loving family. She was 93.
Barbara was a dutiful wife to Jack T. Robson, and together the couple raised a son, Jeffrey, and a daughter, Jacqueline. Blessed with four grandchildren, she was a beloved "Gammie" to Kristina, Kevin, Brad and Andrew, and was ecstatic to be a "Great-Gammie" to Henry, George, Tyler, Duke, Bennett and Levi.
Barbara had a long career working in medical records for the Lincoln Park Nursing Home. In retirement, she enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends, but was really a sports-nut at heart. She liked to golf and go bowling and loved to watch football, baseball and golf on TV. Nothing brought her more joy, though, than cheering on her great-grandsons in their Little League games.
A loving sister to Edward Roy Parcells, Jr. and Richard Parcells, Barbara was known as "Aunt Bobbie" to her many nieces and nephews. She was a dear friend to many, and was always up to share a good cup of coffee and a donut. A tiny but mighty woman, she possessed a gentle strength.
Barbara is lovingly survived by her children, Jeffrey Robson and his wife Karen, and Jacqueline Inglis; her brothers, Edward Roy Parcells, Jr. and Richard Parcells and his wife Patricia; her grandchildren, Kristina, Kevin and his wife Sarah, Brad and his wife Ashley, and Andrew; and her great-grandchildren, Henry, George, Tyler, Duke, Bennett and Levi. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack T. Robson, and her son-in-law, William "Billy" Inglis.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the conclusion of the visitation period. Cremation will be private.
In honor of her love of the game, the family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to Pequannock Little League, PO Box 364, Pequannock NJ 07440.
