Keith Strohschein

Keith O. Strohschein, a longtime resident of Kalispell, MT went to be with our Lord on August 30th, 2020. We were blessed to have him for 84 years. The beloved husband, father, and grandfather was born in Clear Lake, SD by Zelda Strohschein. He was raised by his uncle and aunt Melvin and Muriel Stover. He attended the School of Mines, Rapid City with a focus in Body & Fender training. He used his extensive skill and training to work in multiple body shops in Kalispell. He then worked as a millwright at CFAC until retirement in 1997. He married Gail Nordstrom on July 2nd, 1955. Together they raised 3 children, Brian, Marty, and Krystal. The moved to Kalispell, MT in 1964 and resided in a house they loved filled with memories made over 50 years. When he wasn't working, he was an avid outdoorsmen. From hunting, fishing, gathering and camping he spent almost all of his days somewhere in the woods. His 1970 GMC pickup was known by everyone in the Flathead and on the backroads in Eastern Montana. In 1971, he built a cabin at Echo Lake. The cabin held countless precious memeories for family and many friends. "Grandpa" was a very social person and loved to share a story to anyone he came across. He is survived by his wife Gail, sister Marilyn, son Brian (wife Sue), and daughter Krystal (husband Tom Birky). He will also be missed by his grandchildren: Travis, Sara, Niki, Brandi, Alyssa, Levi and Parker. He is proceeded in death by his mother Zelda, bothers Merton Strohschein and Eugene VanZee and son Marty. A memorial service will be held next spring in Montana.
