Larry Calvin Knight, 71, of Eudora passed from this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by his daughter and grandsons. Larry was born September 21, 1949, in Eudora, Arkansas to the late Herbert Calvin and Lucy Cain Knight Cater. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 30 years, Faye Blansett Knight, and one grandson, Phillip Tyler Yee, and brothers, Johnny and Randy Knight.
Larry attended Ross Van Ness School in Eudora. He joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War era. He returned home, married his love, Faye. They settled in Eudora and started their family. When his daughter, Missy, was born she completed their family and lit up their world.
Larry was a grain operator and retired after many years of service with Riceland Foods in Eudora. He enjoyed his daily “circulating” trips around the lake and surrounding areas with his “run around buddy”, Raymond. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. The true joys came when his two grandsons were born. Zac and Jared have filled his life with love, laughter, and lots of memories.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Missy Jarrett (Mark Hunter), two grandsons, Zac and Jared Yee, all of Lake Village, Arkansas, sister, Bertie Woods (Oather) of Natchez, Mississippi, brothers, Roger Knight (Kathy) of Eudora, Arkansas, David Knight (Janie) of Sicily Island, Louisiana.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Northside Baptist Church in Eudora from 1 to 2 p.m. with services following. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora. Brother Jimbo Herring will officiate. Pallbearers are Michael Woodall, Zac Yee, Tanner Bowers, Tarren Blansett, Chandler Nichols, Jared Yee, and Wyatt Johnson.
