Assunta Cristinziano

God called Assunta peacefully on June 22, 2020 at the age of 80. She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Giuseppe. Cherished by her dear children, Lucy (Renato DeCassan), and Mike (Anna). Proud Nonna to Nicole, Daniel, Eric, and Andrew. She will always be remembered by her siblings Maria Virginia, Antonietta (John), Angela (Fred), and her brother-in-law Paolo and sister-in-law Giuseppina. Assunta is pre-deceased by her sister Elisa, her brother Michele and her brother-in-law Robert. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Friday June 26, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor Dr.). Private Entombment to follow at the Westminster Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Assunta may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region. Online Condolences at: www.vesciofuneralhome.com The government has implemented that all attendees at funerals must always wear a mask. Masks are required at all churches and cemeteries. Those in attendance for services are required to bring their masks to the church and cemetery or you will not be permitted to attend the service. As some of the restrictions are being lifted the Bereavement Authority of Ontario has posted their guidelines of what we are able to do.https://thebao.ca/bao_attendanceguidance_june15_2020/ We can have public visitations with a maximum of 50 people in attendance per visitation room We can have funerals taking place at the church which allows for up to 100 to 150 people to be in attendance in the Vaughan area (once maximum capacity has been reached no exceptions will be made to allow for more friends to enter) We can have from 10 people up to 50 people if outdoors in attendance at the cemetery. We are encouraging all friends to come to the funeral home during the visitation periods if you are comfortable and meet us at the church for the funeral Mass. We are asking for only the most immediate family members to join us at the funeral home on the funeral day and at the cemetery only. We encourage all family and friends to leave a message on the memory wall online. We continue to pray for all families affected during this most difficult time.
