CMSgt. (Ret.) Delmar Glen Jenkins, age 92, of Benbrook, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at a local care facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Delmar was born June 7, 1928, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Herbert Soloman Jenkins and the late Joy Marie (Miller) Jenkins.
He married Rose Mary Floriani, of Lake Village, Arkansas, on January 16, 1952. Delmar retired from the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserve in 1976 after 30 years of service.
After retirement, Delmar went back to school and obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree from Cooke County College, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education degree from Wayland Baptist College and a Master of Education degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Delmar was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Rose Mary Floriani Jenkins, and son, Michael Glenn Jenkins.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Patrick Howrey of Benbrook, Texas; grandson, John Howrey and husband, Ed Blee, of Savannah, Georgia; and granddaughter, Anne Howrey, of Dallas, Texas.
Rosary will be at 9 am Friday, December 4, at Bishop-King Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village, with burial following in St. Isidore Cemetery in Lake Village. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home, Lake Village Arkansas.
