D’ALOISIO, Francesco Nicola It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Francesco Nicola D’Aloisio on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in his 85th year. He is survived by the love of his life Gemma (nee Labbiento) of almost 58 years. Devoted Papa to Giuseppe “Joe”, Maria- Rosaria (Jeff) Stevens, Gino (Joanne), Gerardo “Gerry” (Roselyn) and the late Nicola (1963). Proud Nonno of Nicholas (Alison) Stevens, Christopher, Justin, Sarah Stevens, Maxwell, Emma, Dyllan (Kristen) Gallant, Julia (Matthew) Mallais and Alex Cieszkowski. Francesco was born in Abruzzo, Italy to the late Nicola and Giuseppina. Big brother “Nino” to Titina (the late Narino) D’Angelo, Linda (the late Cristoforo) D’Amore, Floriana (the late Pino) DiSipio and Bambinella (the late Francesco) Riga. He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Maria Labbiento, many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada, Italy and Switzerland. Francesco served in the Italian air force from the age of 21 till he was 23 and later moved to Switzerland where he met his love Gemma. He moved to Canada in 1967 with his wife and son knowing no English to start a new life. This is where his family grew. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden or always finding new projects around the house. He always wanted to be busy, but when it came to spending time with his family, they would be his priority. Whether it was a family gathering, family bocce tournaments or spending time with his grandchildren, he was always there. The more the family grew, the happier and prouder he was. Always with a smile on his face, he was just a genuinely happy person. Francesco was strong in his faith serving on the Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady Delle Grazie feasts as well as an Usher at St. Alfred Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Wasserman, Dr. Yu, Dr. Mitar, Stacy at LHIN, his PSW’s, nurses especially Barb and Rowena for all their dedication and going above and beyond. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Wednesday, August 5 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Lung Association in Francesco’s name. As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation and funeral attendance is limited to 30% building capacity. Cemetery attendance is limited to 50 guests. Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
