Liette"s Mom was a saint. For many years she kindly knitted sock and mittens for me and my three sons. I cherished those gifts as her thoughtfulness meant a great deal to me. In addition, every Christmas i patiently waited the arrival of one of Mameres tasty tortieres. I will always treasure the memories of her gifts and kindness.

RENAUD, Marcelle (née Champoux) It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Camille Renaud. Loving daughter of the late Lévis and late Florida (née Boucher) Champoux. Treasured sister of Lucille. Predeceased by her siblings Jean-Paul, Irene, Jeanette, and Fernand. Cherished mother of Maurice (Anne Marie), Denise (late Ron) and Liette (Chris). Predeceased by her son Gérald (Michelle) and her daughter Simone. Loving grandmother of Eric, Marc, Daniel, Robert, Lisa, Dana, Mathew and Jonathan. Devoted great grandmother of Lexxie, Boston, Jenna, Kaylee, Baeli, Brittany, Brody, Blake, Felix and Colton. She will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Marcelle was born and raised in Temiscaming, Quebec. In 1948 she married Camille and they eventually settled in Val Caron, Ontario. Marcelle was a resourceful, hard working woman whose number one priority was her family. Even though she had the smallest home, the door was always open and her kitchen was the gathering place for everyone! She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed sharing her delicious cooking and baking. With a moment’s notice she could magically turn a dinner for six into dinner for twenty-six complete with her trademark coleslaw and delicious desserts! Family favourites were her famous butter tarts, tasty tourtières and her wonderful Christmas cake! Her grandchildren still cherish their memories of baking and decorating gingerbread cookies with Mémère every Christmas! Marcelle was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 588. She played darts and looked forward to competing in the annual district and provincial finals. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger days. Many happy years were spent camping at Temkin Point on Lake Temiscaming. Once again, the focus was on family and her grandchildren have great memories of being spoiled during their summer vacations with Mémère and Pépère. Marcelle loved to dance! She liked to “lead” and was in great demand especially with the younger set on the dance floor who loved to be around her as she demonstrated her smooth moves! In later years she enjoyed traveling, especially the bus tours, casino trips and bingo outings she shared with her sister Lucille, niece June and cousin Eugenie. She also looked forward to her Sunday drives with Gerry and Michelle. She was a lifelong tennis fan and was thrilled when she and Lucille were finally able to attend a Roger’s Cup Tennis final game in Toronto just six years ago. Marcelle was always up for a game of cards, anytime and anywhere! She was a fierce competitor and had a few choice words to share whenever there was too much talking, not enough playing, over bidding or table talk! Among her many talents was her wonderful knitting. Over the years family and friends have received many beautiful sweaters, socks, toques, Christmas stockings and double-lined mittens, all knitted with so much love and now so cherished by all. For the last ten years Marcelle was very happy in her own apartment at La Place des Bon Amis where she enjoyed the friendship and kindness of many good neighbours. Throughout her life Marcelle loved to joke and tease! Even during challenging times she always kept her sense of humour. She had many famous comments including “Zip it!” and “Son of a Beehive in Corn Syrup!” and a few others that were more colourful! Marcelle was quite a character filled with “joie de vivre”! Everyone loved her and wanted to be around her. Known to so many simply as “Mémère” she was one of a kind who filled our lives with love and laughter. She will never be forgotten and forever loved! May she rest in eternal peace! The family would like to thank everyone who helped Marcelle during the last few months of her life. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kaufeldt, Dr. Pun, Natalie Bureau, Lise Larochelle and all the home care nurses and personal support workers. Thank you to Dr. Singh and the HSN 4th floor nursing team with a special mention to Emily, Sherri and Heidi for their excellent care of Marcelle and her family during her final days. She knew she was in good hands and it gave her great comfort! Due to the current Pandemic, a private funeral mass will take place. My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MY TRIBUTE GIFT FOUNDATION OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AGENTS (THE "FOUNDATION PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR ANY: (i) INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, COMPENSATORY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (ii) DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF INCOME, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF DATA OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY; (iii) CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES; OR (iv) OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OF USE, THE WEBSITE OR ANY LINKED SITE. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
