People will tell you that he made everyone laugh.” Mr. Kaufman was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Bastrop, La. The family moved to Denver when he was young due to his asthma. He earned a degree in pharmacy at CU. Mr. Kaufman married Glenda Finkelstein on June 29, 1963. Initially a pharmacist, then a stockbroker, he spent the majority of his career managing the shoe department at Kaufman’s, which was owned and operated by his late brother Fred.
