Longtime Westport resident Nancy Elizabeth Vath, nèe Koller, passed away on Wednesday May 18, 2022 after a brief illness at the age of 80. Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1941 to parents Elizabeth and Henry Koller.
She graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and worked at Whitman's Chocolates in Quality Control. Nancy ultimately established her home in Westport, CT. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and worked at Market Data Retrieval for many years as a Data Analyst. She also worked briefly at AAA Band Rentals and the Darien Police Department before retiring. Nancy enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid reader. Immensely talented at crafts, Nancy sewed clothes, crocheted, and painted in oil and watercolor.
Nancy will be dearly missed for her magnificent spirit, loyalty, goodness, wit, and the powerful, transformative love she gave to her family. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Henry Koller, and her older brothers Henry J. Koller, Jr. and Robert Koller. She leaves behind children James Vath of MA, Cynthia, and Jennifer M. Vath of NY, grandchildren Samantha, Nicholas, Benjamin, Penny, Emily, and Jake. Nephews and nieces Karen McKiernan, Christine O'Reilly, Marianne Ressler, Kevin Koller and Daniel Koller.
Nancy's family would like to extend their gratitude to the team at RVNA Hospice for the dedication and compassion they provided.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend calling hours for Nancy at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 E. Wall Street, Norwalk, CT, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 A.M. If you can not attend in person, the celebration of life will be streamed on Facebook Live.
Burial will be follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
