Edward McEvoy

Edward James McEvoy, age 66 years, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on August 16 at his home in Glassboro. Born in Queens NY, he was a 1971 graduate of Pitman High School. "Ed" served the public as a paramedic for 25 years and was employed by Inspira Hospital. He was a First Responder for 9-11 to New York City and Hurricane Katrina. He was a Tactical Team Medic for the NJ State Police and a member of the Glouc. Co. Emerald Society. When Ed was not serving his community, he loved to spend time fishing and being with his children and grandchildren. Survived by his wife of 22 years, Pamela M. (nee Kline), children; Lisa (Steven) Johnson, Edward D. (Ashley), Mark. H., Stephen (Aleksandra), Bonnie (Andrew) Brawn, Karlie (Eric) Eachus, Kyle (McKenzie) Melnick, and 8 grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Mary (Sam) Flamma, and brother Tom (Michelle) McEvoy. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9 to 10:45AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial Mass at 11AM in Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
