Billy McCoy Rawlings, Jr., 67, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was born June 30, 1953, in Orange, Virginia, to Catherine E. (Minor) and Billy McCoy Rawlings, Sr.
Billy attended elementary school in Virginia and Vineland High School in Vineland, New Jersey. Billy worked for various casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he worked as a manager at the food court at Sands Hotel and Casino and was lastly employed as a bathroom attendant at Tropicana Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, New Jersey. He also worked at Westside Grocery, Garden of Marrakesh and Jeffrey Towers. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed riding his bike and listening to music. He will be remembered by many for his loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Catherine E. and Billy McCoy Rawlings, Sr.; sons, Marcus Williams, William Bennett and Eric Greene; sister, Shirley Rawlings.
Billy leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Shirley Greene of Atlantic City, New Jersey; son, August Williams of Bridgeport, Connecticut; sister, Doris Rawlings of Atlantic City, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Patricia Shirley William of Charlotte, North Carolina, Desiree Lynn, Krystal Monique, August, Jr. and Janiya Catherine Williams all of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Zi'Niyah and Andrew Garland, Jr. all of Atlantic City, New Jersey; two great grandchildren, Shirley and Marcus Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina; special friends, Isaiah, Diaab and Kysaan; and a host of nieces; nephews; other family members and friends.
