In honour of my Glenn The world lost a wonderful, sweet, gentle, kind, and caring man on January 28, 2022. Robert Glenn Peters, in his 85th year, born May 14, 1937. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Rita Marie, and by a blended family that included daughters Debbie (Mike), Glenna and Rita's son, Adrian (Jessica) and Rita's daughter, Christa (Wayne). Grampa Glenn will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Bradley (Tabitha), Anthony (Frances), Sandra (Steve), Ben, Ashley, James (Alyssa), Doug, Ronan, Wil, Graeme, Madilyn, Roger and Finegan. Poppa Glenn will also be missed by his great grandchildren Sierra, Dakota, Drake, Sheldon, and Jasmine. Glenn is survived by brothers Ken and Terry (Diane) as well as many other caring family members. Predeceased by daughter, Nancy (2016), son-in-law Butch (2020) and sisters in law (Grace, 2016; Gloria, 2021). At 11 years of age, Glenn believed he was put on this earth to help people, and he started working as a farm hand at that age and for many years after. When he was 19, he enrolled in the Honours program at the Toronto Institute of Mechanics graduating with high honours with Diesel and Auto tickets. He attended night school for 2 years at Beal Secondary School in London to obtain his welding ticket. For a time, he worked as a welder in Sudbury and Woodstock. After 6 years at Henderson's, Glenn went to Fanshawe College in London to earn his Gas Fitters ticket and Master Plumber and HVAC certifications. For 40 years he had his own business in Ingersoll in plumbing and heating, Peters, and Yorke, in partnership with Bob Yorke, before he retired. It was a challenge for Glenn to completely retire and he could be seen doing special jobs for select clients because 'he liked to keep his hand in' and 'he needed the challenge'. Glenn was a very bright and talented person and a lifelong learner. He excelled in his vocations and told Rita he could fix anything except 'the break of dawn or a broken heart' and he was true to his word. His word was his bond. Glenn had a zest for life. He loved nature and photography, fishing and flying kites, singing and Ingersoll Trinty United church (both congregation and the building), dancing and travelling, playing all kinds of card games and art, letter writing and visiting, tinkering and problem solving and, eventually, he loved cooking for Rita. He was a Renaissance man. Glenn was past president of the Oxford Fish and Game Association, Past Master of St John 68 Masonic Lodge, past member of Ingwodd Developments and past member of Electric Service League of Ontario. Glenn showed courage and determination in dealing with his rounds of cancer and had great faith in the medical world and in Rita being at his side the entire time. He always had a big smile ready for those helping him through some difficult situations. He knew he had angels watching over him and one very special angel in particular. He was the heart of Rita's world and, although he will be missed, Glenn will live forever in the memories of those who loved him and the countless others whose lives he touched in his special way. Family and friends will be received on Friday February 25, 2022 at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll from 1:30-4:30 and 6:00-8:00. Proof of full vaccination will be required. Guests are required to RSVP for the visitation under Glenn’s service details at www.mcbeathdynes.ca. Masks and social distancing also required. A private memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, Ingersoll. Proof of full vaccination will be required. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kids Kicking Cancer Canada or Trinity United church, Ingersoll would be appreciated. A palm tree was planted in memorial at Loulu Palms Farm Plantation on the North Shore in Oahu, Hawai'i.

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MY TRIBUTE GIFT FOUNDATION OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AGENTS (THE "FOUNDATION PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR ANY: (i) INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, COMPENSATORY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (ii) DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF INCOME, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF DATA OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY; (iii) CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES; OR (iv) OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OF USE, THE WEBSITE OR ANY LINKED SITE. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
