Darlene Ann (Kieselat) Donnelly, passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 23 after a three-year battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.
Darlene was born on August 10, 1966 to her parents Eleanore (Bischoff) Kieselat and Rudolph Ernst Kieselat of Bloomfield, NJ. She was raised with her brothers Rudy and Randy on Washburn Road in Pequannock, where she graduated from Pequannock High School in 1984.
Before graduating, she began her beautician’s career at the Cutting Corner in Pequannock, before opening her own salon, Colorforms, also in Pequannock in 2001. It was Colorforms that became her “happy place” as she greeted clients with the smile that could melt a thousand hearts. Her beautiful heart, kind spirit and lovable personality made her very popular with her clientele and her amazing sense of humor kept them coming back again and again!
She enjoyed a devoted life with an ever-expanding family, with her sister in laws Angela and Sue, nephew Kyle and nieces Corinne, Rachel and Vanessa.
On Thanksgiving Eve 1988, she met the love her life Patrick and together they formed an inseparable bond that would carry her through the remaining 32 years of her life. Married in 1998, the couple soon set roots on Slingerland Ave. in Pequannock where their son and apple of her eye, Billy was gifted upon them in 2005. She was a devoted, wonderful mother, who brought Billy to work everyday as an infant. He would soon become one of the main attractions at Colorforms. She was always searching for new things to do with Billy and even introduced him to the sport of basketball, which would quickly become a major passion of his.
She will forever be known for her knockout, soul piercing blue eyes, which would be the focus of her amazing natural beauty inside and out. She was a beautiful soul, who always had a smile, laugh and above all else, kindness to anyone who ever encounter her.
