Linda McInnis Gonyeau

Linda Faye McInnis Gonyeau, 72, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 7, 1947 and daughter of the late Lucille Thompson and Colen “Mac” McInnis. Linda graduated from Andrew Jackson High School – Class of 1965 and married the love of her life, Daniel Robert Gonyeau on August 20, 1965. She is a member of Calvary Temple Church of God and former long time member at Springfield Church of God. Linda served in the Ladies Ministry and loved to work in her yard and plants. Preceding her in death are her parents; granddaughter, Holly Michelle Gonyeau and 2 sisters: Juanette Harper and Ann Adams. Surviving family include her husband of 54 years, Dan Gonyeau; 4 sons: Danny (Dawn) Gonyeau, Ronnie Gonyeau, Mark (Sam) Gonyeau and Chris (Andrea) Gonyeau; 11 grandchildren: Heather (Josh) Tison, Hannah (Thomas) Mizell, Stephanie Gonyeau, Heather Crews, Jonathan Lhotka, Matthew (Jessie) Gonyeau, Jonathan (Melodie) Gonyeau, Zachary Gonyeau, Michelle (Peyton) Cannon, Andrew Gonyeau and Austin Gonyeau; 12 great grandchildren: Liam, Sophia, Syklar, Braylen, Alaina, Hayleigh, Isabella, Rebecca, Brianna, Jonah, Maleah and AJ; 1 sister: Debbie (Gary) Perkins; 1 brother: Dwight (Rose) McInnis and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Peeples Event Center, 14165 N. Main Street, with Rev. Bobby Mullaly, officiating. Following COVID-19 guidelines, 10 immediate family members will be in attendance for the funeral service. We will prepare a Go-To-Meeting link and it will be posted on our website for you to attend the service on Friday. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery and there will not be any services at the cemetery per the Veterans Administration guidelines. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Peeples Event Center. Following COVID-19 guidelines, 10 attendees will enter the chapel to pay respects and once they depart, the next 10 attendees will enter – we will utilize groups of 10. We appreciate your assistance in following these guidelines.
