Irene Esther Hauth passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on June 18, 2023 at the age of 100 years – 10 days short of her 101st birthday.
Irene is survived by: her children, Michael (Mary) Hardwicke, Wendy (Richard) Basnett, Kevin (Betty) Hauth, Maxine-Rae (Chris) Christenson, Kathryn (Todd) Mahon and Colleen Hauth; and her 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Irene’s grandchildren are: Paul (Rachel), Kimberley (Shawn), Gregory (Anna), Caleb (Nagisa), Caitlin (Tunde), Cassandra (Edison), Hana (Thomas), Cody (Meagan), Jared, Troy (Quinn), Colton (Kaitlyn), and Taylor (Tyler).
Irene was predeceased by: her husband, Henry Hauth; husband, Maurice [Buck] Hardwicke; parents, Matthias and Agnes Sherback; stepmother, Louise; siblings and their spouses, sister Vera (John) Duffield, brothers, Orville (Altha), Gilbert (Alice), Lawrence (Marie) and Bob (Terry).
Nicknamed “Tuffy” by her father; Irene lived up to that name by living a long, full life. She closes out the legacy of the Matt Sherback family with grace – a generation completed but never forgotten.
The Prayer Vigil for Irene will be held at St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday June 26, 2023 at 7:00 PM.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Irene will be conducted from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Irene's obituary at the time of service.
Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
