It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing at the Toronto General Hospital on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the age of 22 years. She spent several months battling both a type A and B aortic root dissection as a result of her genetic tissue disorder; Loeys -Dietz syndrome. As she passed on her father’s birthday, she was able to enjoy his day with him.
Naomi is the beloved daughter of the late Dave Gallant and Gaetanne Carriere, step daughter of Patrick Lamothe. Dear sister of Kelvin (Natasha) Gallant and step sister of Destin and Chloe Lamothe. Cherished granddaughter of Robert and Denise Gallant and Barbara and the late Laurier Carriere. She will be sadly missed by her partner Niko Venturoli who she met in college. They continued to love and grow together over the past 3 and a half years. He will miss her tremendously and will hold onto their short and precious moments spent together forever. Also left to mourn are many uncles, aunts, cousins and great friends.
Naomi was a light, who would brighten everyone’s day. She was selfless, kind and an amazing friend to many. She was also someone who loved her family deeply and put them at the core of her priorities. This included her animals, Tia and Gizmo who were her complete world. Naomi was an adventurer and absolutely loved the outdoors. She was a hiker, enjoyed kayaking, fishing and took every chance she could to be out in the bush camping. One of Naomi’s biggest passions in life was helping others and in 2021 she attained her diploma in Social Work. As she loved learning, Naomi then decided to continue her education and was in the process of getting her practical nursing diploma. Naomi’s compassionate, adventurous and beautiful soul will never be forgotten.
